The Mont Aigoual Observatory serving research and enterprise
For several years, the Mont Aigoual Observatory has been concentrating its activities on experiments in the wild. Outside organisations could benefit from the site's technical and human expertise to carry out experiments in extreme meteorological conditions.

Site
The Mont Aigoual weather station stands on the border between the départements of the Gard and Lozère, and on the watershed between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
Human resources
The present staff consists of a station chief, four meteorological technicians and three maintenance workers. The Observatory is manned day and night by at least one technician and one worker.
Activities
The Observatory's daily work is continuous weather observation and making detailed forecasts for the massif. The Observatory has been studying this specific climate for over 100 years...
